Yes. All of our hearing aids are very easy to fit. You simply insert a battery and find the most suitable silicone ear cone to fit your ear (supplied). A variety of different size ear pieces will come with your hearing aid.

It is important to select the best fitting ear cone. This will maximise the effectiveness of the device.

Are these hearing aids suitable for everyone?

We have found that the behind the ear hearing aid is better for the more severe problems. Also, for most severe problems we strongly recommend the HA18 behind the ear “Gas Channel” Hearing Aid. It is slightly more expensive, but will really give superbly enhanced hearing.

We have two ears for a reason. With normal hearing from both ears, we can hear sounds more clearly and hear speech more clearly. With normal binaural hearing we also have a better sense of balance and our sense of direction is better. It is normal to suffer hearing loss in both ears. Our hearing is usually worse in one ear than the other. As a result, people often let one ear go and put a hearing device in their best ear. This is actually quite damaging for you. Hearing with only one ear, can be quite disorientating as it is more difficult for your brain to understand and process the sounds you are hearing.

If you wear two hearing aids, you will hear more clearly and will have a better sense of balance and direction.

By wearing two hearing aids, you can also turn the volumes lower, reducing the risk of noise distortion in the ear, which can cause audible strain and tiredness.
